Velvet Smoothie

Here is a thick and creamy shake for those who don’t tolerate dairy products well. I have heard how wonderful avocados can be in a shake, but I haven’t been brave enough to try it until this morning. Time to load up on avocados, as this will be a regular habit of mine from now on.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 cup frozen berries (strawberries, mixed berries)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop vegan protein powder
  • *Optional: 1 Tbsp hemp seeds, handful of spinach

Mix Ingredients together for a smooth, naturally flavourful breakfast smoothie that will leave you satisfied. The healthy fats from the avocado and protein will keep your blood sugar and appetite regulated throughout the day.
