Here is a quick and tasty chili crock pot recipe.

You’re probably wondering why it’s called Blue Jays chili. Well, when you work until 5:30pm on the night of the final game in a playoff series, your dinner needs to be cooked when you come in the door. There is no time for cutting, chopping, or cooking. There is only time to scoop, serve, and enjoy in front of the game! Here is what we enjoyed last night for dinner, while cheering on the Blue Jays. Wow, what a game! Looks like we will be having a lot more Blue Jays Chili over the coming weeks!

We enjoy our fresh lean ground beef from the local Nicholyn Farms.

Ingredients

1 can/jar diced tomatoes

1 jar tomato sauce

1 can kidney beans

1 package lean ground beef

1 yellow pepper, chopped

1 orange pepper, chopped

1 small onion, chopped

5 cloves garlic, pressed

2 Tbsp chili powder

1 Tbsp cumin

Instructions

1. Cook the ground beef and chopped onion, strain excess oil.

2. Combine all ingredients in the crock pot, stir well to combine flavours.

3. Cook on low for 6 hours.
