Five ways to reduce stress
————————————————————
We are often so busy, moving from one task to the next that we forget to live in the moment and enjoy some quality time to ourselves. Here are some simple and effective ways to ‘pause’ and de-stress.

1.     Go for a brisk walk- breath in fresh air, get your heart beating faster, feel your muscles working and appreciate nature as your calm your mind and improve your ‘feel good’ hormones.

2.     Get a massage- relaxation massages allows time to free your mind of worries and enjoy the tension being released from your muscles.

3.     Drink a cup of tea- the act of drinking tea is relaxing, for additional relaxation, drink teas like chamomile or lemon balm for additional calming properties.

4.     Spend time with family & friends- socializing is an essential part of mental and emotional well-being, take time to share a laugh and reconnect with good friends.

5.     Take a deep breath! During stressful situations or as part of a regular routine, remind yourself to breath deeply, it will help calm your nervous system and promote a relaxed state.

Introducing a new service – Cupping
————————————————————
Cupping is a treatment method of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves the use of plastic cups and a pump, which draws the skin towards the inside of the cup. It opens up the skin pores, helps promote blood flow, alleviate pain and swelling, and balances the flow of qi or in the body.

The cups are typically left in place from 5-10 minutes and small amounts of oil are applied to the treatment area to allow movement of the cups along the area. It is mainly performed on your back as this is location of 5 meridians (Traditional Chinese Medicine organ channels and several acupuncture point locations) and often the site of muscular and fascia tension. Cupping can also be done on the stomach, arms and legs.

Cupping is also used to treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, and congestion, along with other conditions such as arthritis, pain, gastrointestinal disorders, and muscular tension.

 *1/3 cup honey
*1/4 cup cocoa powder
*3/4 cup sesame seeds
