Ok friends, cucumbers are not just for facials! Cucumbers are a staple at the Snow household each week. They are a tasty snack and with hummus, on their own, or added to a fresh juice. Let’s chat about the benefits of this hydrating vegetable.

  1. Cucumbers are 95% water! Do you have trouble getting in your recommended intake of water? Munch on a cup of cucumbers to replace a cup of water. Alternatively, try sliced cucumber in your water for natural flavour enhancement (and ditch the Mio, Crystal Light while you’re at it!).
  2. Boosts your immune system. Eat the skin, it’s loaded with vitamin C. Combine cucumbers with red peppers to pack a vitamin C punch for your immune system.
  3. Cures your bad breath. Take a slice and hold it to the roof of your mouth for 30 seconds. The phytochemicals are known to kill the bacteria that causes bad breath in the first place.
  4. Supports digestion. The combination of high water content and fibre helps to support regular bowel movements and is a healthy part of weight maintenance.
  5. Eliminates a foggy mirror. Rub a slice of cucumber along the mirror before taking a shower to prevent it from fogging up. Who knew?!
